What you should be of the utmost importance to all employees is the second point: the Algonquin College Strategic Agreement. They are a very small local and would benefit from additional physical support on their picket line and increased financial support. These courageous men and women are fighting against a successful university their first collective agreement, which should include fair language and fair wages. The review of the document is worrisome for a number of reasons, but the reference to academic force programs is of particular concern. It is not clear that all university programs are covered by the categories identified by the university, so it is in your interest to see if your program fits into the nine categories.
